The nostalgia for what has disappeared led the singer Thalía to honor her first encounters with music.

"You had to sit in front of the tape player and record your cassette from the radio and hope that the announcer didn't ruin it by talking and introducing the next song. So I really needed that, and these songs that have been revolutionary for an entire generation and that continue to turn the minds of new generations", recalled the Mexican in the framework of the premiere of the album Thalía's Mixtape.

The artist revisited her cassette collection four years ago and discovered that certain songs were repeated. Para No Verte Más, Rayando El Sol, Florecita Rockera, Pachuco and Devuélveme A Mi Chica, were part of the songs that marked her path. This is how she took on the task of interpreting the classics that she includes in the production.

Her "dream come true" is a multiplatform project, which incorporates a three-episode docuseries titled Thalía's Mixtape: El Soundtrack de Mi Vida, and premieres on May 2, exclusively, on Paramount Plus with MTV.

"I am going to take the audience to visit the history of music, from the gramophone to artificial intelligence and the way in which we consume music today, but also from the fan angle, because this time I am the fan chasing my idols of a lifetime from adolescence, my idols from my mixtapes and they were definitely the rockers," she told El Vocero, who is also the executive producer of the docuseries.

She wants to represent women in all their ranges
Thalía is also remembered for her leading roles in soap operas such as María Mercedes, Marimar, María la del Barrio and Quinceañera, to name a few. About two decades ago she took a break from acting.

"I love acting, it is something that I continue to consider and of course I want to return the moment I find that script, that character, that I feel is not stereotypical, that they suddenly send me. When it's something that says: 'Now yes, this yes', that's when I'm going to surprise them," she confessed.

She specified that she would like to interpret "a role that represents women in all their ranges, in all their emotions, in all their growth, in all their bearing. There are many women now writing scripts, many production companies, many filmmakers, which I love. It's also very exciting to see so many women breaking it down in the entertainment medium."

Revisiting her artistic foundations represents for Thalía reaffirming her dreamy essence. In this case, she hopes that the new generations will receive her music with love and positivity.

"I try to do my things, my songs, my music, my production, my videos, the ideas, the direction, the lighting, always with a visual side to tell a story, to narrate a feeling, to spread a moment of my life. and I think that's why the songs come. When you are honest and you do it from the heart and you look for a sincere interpretation of something that is moving your emotions at that moment, you immediately connect with the audience." said the 51-year-old vocalist.
