While her formidable discography dates back decades, the enduringly beloved pop singer always seems to come through with something fresh and exciting for each successive project. And desAMORfosis, her first album of new material in nearly three years (not including 2020's youth-centered Viva Kids, Vol. 2), is no exception. She soars over polished rhythmic pop production with Bolsito Caro and the punch-drunk love of Mojito. Along the way, she recruits a series of worthy collaborators, including reggaetoneros like Myke Towers and Mau y Ricky as well as the legendary Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga. Yet the real showstopper might just be TICK TOCK, a commanding cut performed in trio with Farina and Sofía Reyes.
